Backwoods Bowhunter

A couple of backwoods good ole boys, Tim and Mike, coming at you from the Whiskey and Whitetails podcast studio. Follow along as we describe the ups and downs of a Whitetail hunting season sharing those experiences with you the listener. Raw and honest! If you like bowhunting and backwoods humor, then you might have come to the right place. We do not take ourselves too seriously. Our style is for you to feel like you are sitting around the campfire with your buddies, tossin' back some cold beers, talking bowhunting, telling false stories and whatever else may come to mind. Tim Jarvis

Raised in small town Southern Illinois (we’re talking 250 people), Tim grew up hunting, fishing, camping, 4-wheeler riding, farming and just about anything else involving the great outdoors. Tim is an avid whitetail deer hunter and enjoys turkey and waterfowl hunting when not focused on the elusive whitetail deer.

During the non hunting season, Tim enjoys shooting his bow, teaching archery to his two kids, bass fishing, BBQing, consuming quality bourbon and spending time with his family.

Tim resides with his family on “Broken Antler” drive in Southern Illinois. That is the name we have given to our secluded piece of wooded land with a one acre size pond sitting right in the middle. Despite being a small tract of land, this little slice of Heaven provides plenty of deer, turkey, and goose hunting opportunities.
